EL POLICIA DE LAS RATAS

This is the panel 1 of page 6 of the comic "EL POLICIA DE LAS RATAS" wich could be translated like "THE DETECTIVE OF THE RATS". This comic is based on a short story written by chilean writer Roberto Bolaño and is part of the comic book project "NOMADA". Penciling and inking by yours truly.

In short the story is about Pepe, a rat detective who is investigating the sudden apparition of dead rats in the sewers in wich the rats have established their community. What seems to be a rutinary predator's attack starts to take an unexpected twist when pepe's investigation starts to reveal the possibility that the murders could be the work of a rat, wich by definition is an imposibility since rats don't kill among each other, or at least that is the reality that the story suggests. Pepe must carry on his search of the killer against the orders of his superiors.

Esta es la viñeta 1 de la pagina 6 del comic "EL POLICIA DE LAS RATAS". El comic esta basado en el cuento del mismo nombre del escritor chileno Roberto Bolaño y es parte del comic "NOMADA". Lapiz y entintado realizado por un servidor.
La historia a grandes rasgos trata de una rata policia, Pepe, quien investiga la aparición de cadaveres abandonados en las alcantarillas donde habitan las ratas. Lo que al comienzo parece el rutinario ataque de algún depredador empieza a tomar un giro inesperado a medida que la investigación empieza a revelar la posibilidad de que los crimenes podrian ser obra de una rata, lo que representa un sin sentido dado que las ratas no se matan entre si o al menos esa es la realidad que propone la historia. Pepe debe continuar su investigación ante la incredulidad de sus superiores.
